How much does Kid Globe cost?
€1.99 in Europe, once. No subscription, no in-app purchases, no ads: everything is included from the download, updates too.
Does it need an internet connection?
No. Once installed, the app works entirely offline, voices and pictures included.
What age is it for?
For kids aged 4 to 10. Everything is narrated aloud, so the youngest do not need to read, and older kids go looking for the moons and the faraway objects.
Does my child need to read?
No. Stories, scenarios and game instructions are read aloud. Words light up with the voice, which also helps children who are learning to read.
Which devices does it run on?
On iPhone and iPad from the App Store, on Android phones and tablets from Google Play, and on Windows PCs from the Microsoft Store. On phones and tablets, the app is played with the screen held sideways.
Which languages?
English and French. The language follows the device and can be changed in the settings, behind the parental gate.
What data does the app collect?
None. No account, no tracking, no ads, no analytics. Nothing leaves the device.
Can my child leave the app or buy something?
No. There are no in-app purchases and no links to the internet, and the settings are protected by a parental gate.
Is the voice a real person?
It is a synthetic voice, chosen for its warmth, generated in advance with ElevenLabs and built into the app. It needs no connection.
Are the pictures real photos?
The planets and Earth come from NASA imagery and other scientific sources. The surface landscapes, the storybook watercolors and the stickers are AI-generated illustrations made for the app: the Credits page lists everything.
How many stories and games are there?
90 illustrated stories, 19 animated scenarios, 4 games in 3 levels and 66 stickers to win.
